Product Disclaimer & Skin Safety
We believe transparency extends beyond ingredients. This page covers how our products are made, tested, and regulated — and what you should know before wearing them. No fine print. No surprises.
01 — What Pour Moiré Products Are
All Pour Moiré products are cosmetic oil-based perfumes intended for external use on skin only. Our formulas use a carrier base of MCT (Cocos Nucifera Oil) and Isopropyl Myristate — both established cosmetic ingredients — blended with fragrance oils, essential oils, and aroma molecules.
Our products contain no alcohol, no water, no parabens, and no undisclosed ingredients. Every molecule in every formula is listed publicly at pourmoire.com/ingredients.
Pour Moiré products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. They are cosmetic products only.
02 — Regulatory Compliance
All five Pour Moiré formulas have been notified to Health Canada under the Cosmetic Notification Form (CNF) prior to sale, as required under the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act and Cosmetic Regulations (SOR/2006-352).
CNF Numbers: F7 Citrus Grove · 2026-034967 | F2 Nectarine Dream · 2026-036176 | F3 Pear Bloom · 2026-036181 | F6 Rose Noire · 2026-036195 | F1 Amber Reverie · 2026-036202
For customers in the United States, our products comply with MoCRA. As a small business with annual sales under USD$1,000,000, we qualify for the small business exemption from mandatory facility registration under 21 U.S.C. § 364l. HTS Code · 3303.00.20.00 | Origin · Made in Canada.
03 — How to Patch Test
We recommend performing a patch test before first use, particularly if you have sensitive skin or known fragrance allergies.
- Apply a small amount — Roll a thin layer onto your inner wrist or the inside of your elbow.
- Wait 24 hours — Do not wash the area. Observe for redness, itching, swelling, or irritation.
- If no reaction occurs — The product is likely suitable for your skin. Apply as normal to pulse points.
- If irritation occurs — Discontinue use immediately. Rinse with mild soap and water. Consult a healthcare professional if irritation persists.
04 — Fragrance Allergens
Unlike conventional perfumes which hide ingredients behind "Parfum," Pour Moiré publishes every ingredient in every formula. All fragrance allergens present above IFRA declaration thresholds are individually listed per scent — including d-Limonene, Linalool, Geraniol, Citral, Farnesol, Citronellol, Benzyl Benzoate, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Eugenol, Hydroxycitronellal, and Benzyl Alcohol, depending on the scent.
05 — Important Safety Information
- For external use only — apply to skin, not ingested
- Apply to pulse points: wrists, neck, inner elbow, behind knees
- Avoid contact with eyes — if contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water
- Keep out of reach of children
- Do not apply to broken, irritated, or sunburned skin
- Store in a cool, dark place — avoid direct sunlight and heat above 30°C
- Cap tightly after each use to prevent oxidation
Our products are manufactured in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada in a clean, controlled environment. Each batch is visually inspected, weight-verified, and tested before release.
06 — Why You May Stop Smelling Your Own Scent
Several Pour Moiré formulas contain Ambroxan — a molecule known to cause olfactory adaptation: your brain stops registering it after prolonged exposure, even though it remains present on your skin.
This is not a flaw. You may stop smelling your own scent after 30–60 minutes. Others around you can still smell it clearly. Ask someone nearby to verify, or smell your wrist from a distance rather than pressing it to your nose.
07 — Warranties & Disclaimers
Pour Moiré products are cosmetic oil perfumes intended for external use only. Results may vary based on individual skin chemistry, body temperature, diet, and skin type. Scent character and longevity will differ from person to person — this is a natural property of oil perfume, not a defect.
Pour Moiré is not responsible for adverse reactions in individuals with known fragrance sensitivities who have not reviewed the full ingredient list prior to purchase.
Pour Moiré products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. No therapeutic or medicinal claims are made or implied.
All formulas have been notified to Health Canada under the Cosmetic Notification Form prior to sale. Pour Moiré operates as a sole proprietorship, Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.
